Donated piece - The Neighbor’s Place, Wausau “A Night for Our Neighbors” Event.

This end grain cutting board was donated to be raffled off as a part of an event The Neighbor’s Place of Wausau, WI hosted in March of 2024. The event titled, “A Night for Our Neighbors” was a benefit show to fight food insecurity and diaper needs in Marathon County.

The Neighbors' Place reduces food and diaper insecurity in North Central Wisconsin by connecting community members experiencing financial hardship with essential resources. Always with dignity, choice, and empowerment at the center of their approach. As Marathon County's largest food pantry, they serve 500 households each week through The Market, a certified "Safe & Healthy Food Pantry" that prioritizes nutritious options, partners with local farms for seasonal produce, and continually expands its selection to reflect their community's diverse cultural needs. The Babies' Place, the region's only diaper bank, serves more than 500 children monthly and is supported by partnerships with Head Start, The Women's Community, and the Marathon County Health Department.
