1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS
By using this website and requesting services from Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or request our services.
Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website. Your continued use of the website or booking of services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. SERVICES PROVIDED
Tree Services
Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home provides tree removal, trimming, pruning, stump grinding, deadwood removal, storm cleanup, and emergency tree services as described on our website. Services are limited to North Central Wisconsin, primarily servicing Wausau, Schofield, Weston, Rothschild, and surrounding Marathon County area.
Scope of Work: All estimates provided are for the specific services discussed during the on-site assessment. Additional work discovered during the job (hidden rot, unexpected structural issues, etc.) may result in additional charges, which will be discussed with you before proceeding.
Wood Products
Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home creates handcrafted cutting boards, tables, countertops, furniture, and sculptural pieces from either reclaimed local hardwood and softwoods or locally purchased lumber. Custom wood pieces are built to order and timelines vary based on complexity and material availability.
3. ESTIMATES AND PRICING
Free On-Site Estimates: Estimates are provided free of charge for tree services. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided.
Pricing: All pricing provided in written estimates is binding, provided the scope of work does not change.
Payment Terms: For tree services a 10% deposit will be requested at the time of booking. The remaining full balance will be sent as an invoice upon completion of work and due within 14 days of receiving the invoice.
Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, credit card, etc. Most payments will be completed through a Quickbooks Invoice Payment Request form submitted to the customer via email.
Additional Costs
The following may result in additional charges beyond the estimate:
Debris removal or hauling fees (if applicable)
Wood chipping or stump grinding beyond the original scope
Unforeseen hazards or complications discovered during the work
Overtime or emergency service fees (if applicable)
All additional charges will be communicated to you before work proceeds.
4. SCHEDULING AND CANCELLATION
Booking
To book a service, contact Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home by phone (715) 204-4245 or through our website contact form.
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule a confirmed appointment, notify Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home at least 48 hours in advance. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Cancellation Policy
Customer Cancellation: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment are free. Cancellations within 48 hours may result in a cancellation fee of 5% of estimated cost or $50, whichever is greater.
Weather-Related Cancellation: Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to unsafe weather conditions. Rescheduling will be offered at no cost.
No-Show: If you are not available at the scheduled time and did not cancel or reschedule, the full estimated cost may be charged.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & PROPERTY DAMAGE
Assumption of Risk
Tree removal and related services are inherently hazardous. While Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home takes every precaution to protect your property, you acknowledge and assume the risk that property damage or injury could occur, even with proper care and expertise.
Liability Limits
Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home is fully licensed and insured. Our general liability insurance covers up to $1,000,000 per occurrence. This insurance is the primary remedy for property damage claims.
In no event shall Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of use or enjoyment of your property
Damage to structures, fences, utilities, or landscaping beyond what is directly caused by the tree removal work itself
Property Protection
You are responsible for:
Identifying and marking any utilities, irrigation, or underground lines before work begins
Removing vehicles, personal property, and outdoor structures from the work area
Notifying reclaimed local hardwood of any hazards or concerns before work begins
Damage Claims
All damage claims must be reported to reclaimed local hardwood within 7 days of the work being received, with photographic evidence. Claims reported after 7 days may not be eligible for resolution.
6. WOOD PRODUCTS — CUSTOM ORDERS
Timeline & Delivery
Lead Times: Custom wood pieces typically require 2-4 weeks depending on complexity, wood availability, and current orders. Rush orders are available at an additional fee.
Delivery: Delivery within 20 miles of Wausau is included. Delivery outside this radius requires additional fees.
Pickup: Customers may arrange pickup in Wausau, WI if preferred.
Material & Specifications
Wood Species: All pieces are crafted from either reclaimed local hardwood and softwoods or locally purchased lumber. Specific wood species will be confirmed before work begins. Grain patterns, color variation, and natural characteristics are inherent to the material and are not considered defects.
Finishing: All pieces are finished with food-safe or exterior-grade finishes as appropriate. Care instructions will be provided with your finished piece.
Customization: Custom orders are non-refundable once work has begun. Design changes requested after work has started may incur additional fees.
Payment for Custom Orders
Deposit: 20% of estimated total cost is due at the time of order to secure materials and schedule production.
Final Payment: Remaining balance is due upon completion or delivery, before the piece is released.
Cancellation: Orders cancelled before work begins are refundable. Orders cancelled after work has begun are non-refundable.
Defects & Warranty
Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home stands behind the craftsmanship of each piece. If a defect in workmanship is discovered within 30 days of delivery, contact us with photographic evidence. We will assess the issue and repair or replace the piece at no cost if the defect is due to our workmanship. Normal wear, scratches, dents, or damage from misuse are not covered.
7. USE OF PHOTOS & TESTIMONIALS
By hiring Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home, you grant us the right to photograph the completed work and use those images on our website, social media, and marketing materials for promotional purposes.
If you prefer not to have photos taken or shared:
Notify Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home in writing before work begins
We will respect your privacy and not photograph your property
8. WEATHER & ACTS OF GOD
Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or damage caused by:
Severe weather, ice storms, wind, or lightning
Flooding or water damage
Falling branches or trees from neighboring properties
Damage caused by utilities or third parties
In these cases, work will be rescheduled at no additional cost, or you may cancel with a full refund of any deposits paid.
9. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
You agree to:
Provide accurate information about your property, hazards, and any special concerns
Clearly mark underground utilities, irrigation systems, or septic lines before work begins
Remove vehicles and personal property from the work area
Ensure safe access to the work site
Disclose any known pest issues, disease, or structural problems with trees before work begins
Pay invoices on time according to the payment terms specified
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR WEBSITE USE
Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home provides this website and all information on it "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for:
Errors or omissions on the website
Interruptions in service or technical issues
Loss of data or information
Viruses or malware (we take reasonable security precautions, but cannot guarantee absolute protection)
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Arboreal Artisans Tree and Home or is used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content without written permission.
Exception: You are welcome to share photos of your completed project on social media and tag us, provided you've received permission to photograph your property (see Section 7).
12. DISCLAIMERS
Professional Advice
Nothing on this website constitutes professional arboricultural, landscaping, or legal advice. For specific concerns about your trees or property, consult a certified arborist, landscaper, or attorney.
Product Endorsements
All product names, logos, and brands visible on this website or in our photos are the property of their respective owners. Use of these names, logos, and brands does not imply endorsement by those companies.
13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Jurisdiction: Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Marathon County, Wisconsin.
