Walnut Entryway Shelf with Rail-tie Hooks

This entryway shelf combines clean, functional storage with rustic industrial character. Built from solid walnut with a mixed grain top, the shelf offers a spot to drop keys, mail, or small essentials, while the open shelf below provides hanger space for additional storage.

Mounted along the face are hooks made from reclaimed, refurbished railroad spikes. Each one unique, showing the distress marks, texture, and weathered character of steel that once anchored a rail line. Four hooks provide plenty of room for coats, bags, scarves, and everyday entryway clutter, while the walnut backing and solid wood end caps give the whole piece a sturdy, substantial feel.

Like all of my floating shelves, this shelf is designed to mount securely and sit flush to the wall, blending rustic reclaimed materials with clean, modern woodworking.
